Where a timeshare exit meets your credit report.
An honest explainer, a free guide to disputing inaccurate marks yourself, and referrals to independent specialists when you want one. No credit repair promises, because nobody can lawfully make them.
What a timeshare can and cannot do to your credit.
A timeshare in good standing usually shows up, if at all, as an ordinary account. Problems begin when payments stop — which is precisely why we never advise anyone to stop paying.
Once an account goes delinquent, the developer or its servicer may report it, refer it to collections, or in some states pursue a deficiency after foreclosure. Those marks can persist for years and are not removed by exiting the contract afterwards.
Where marks are inaccurate — wrong balance, wrong dates, an account you never held, a debt reported after a documented release — you have a federal right to dispute them yourself, free, with no company in the middle. That is what the guide below is for.
A negotiated release is the point
Our primary path is a documented release from the developer, structured to end the obligation without the delinquency that damages credit in the first place.
We do not repair credit
World Leisure Solutions is not a credit repair organisation and does not sell credit repair. Accurate negative information cannot lawfully be removed by anyone, for any fee.
Anything a service does, you can do free
Disputing an inaccurate entry with the bureaus costs nothing. If you would rather have help, we will point you to it — but you should know the free route exists first.
Timing matters more than technique
Disputes filed while an account is still active and disputed at the developer often go nowhere. Your case manager will tell you when a dispute is likely to be worth filing.
Dispute your own timeshare-related marks.
A short, practical walkthrough: how to pull all three reports free, what an inaccurate timeshare entry looks like, how to write the dispute, what the bureaus must do and by when, and what to do if the entry survives the dispute.
- Sample dispute letter you can adapt
- What documentation to attach, and what to withhold
- Bureau timelines and your escalation rights
- When a dispute is premature — and why it matters
Download the guide
The written guide is being finalised and is not available to download yet. It will be free and will not ask for your email — it is consumer education, and putting a form in front of it would be the wrong instinct.
In the meantime, you can pull all three credit reports free at annualcreditreport.com ↗ — the only federally authorised source — and file a dispute directly with each bureau at no cost. Ask your case manager if you would like help reading what you find.
Independent credit specialists, when you want one.
Who they are
Firms and non-profit counsellors we have seen work honestly with clients on timeshare-adjacent reporting issues. They are independent of us and you engage them directly.
What we take
Nothing. We accept no referral fee, commission, or revenue share from any credit specialist we name. If that ever changes, this page changes with it.
How to ask
Mention it on any call with your case manager and we will send names and contact details in writing, along with the free self-dispute route so you can compare.
